Baby photographer Wimbledon, session. Today I’m sharing a gorgeous portrait of the eldest from a lovely photography session with family of four.
It has been so wonderful to photograph the arrival of each of their children over the years. The first time I photographed this little girl was when she was just a few weeks old. This is one of the reasons I’ve selected her picture for today’s post. I couple of years later I returned for her middle brothers newborn photography session. This year I was very happy to return again and photograph newborn baby number 3 at their home in Wimbledon.

During a newborn photography session with siblings, if I’m waiting for the new baby to be fed, I like to start the session with portraits of the older children. This picture was taken at the beginning of our session. She was very pleased to show me her gorgeous new dress chosen by her Mum for the photoshoot. A crisp white dress is perfect for my black & white portraits. The cut out detail looks great in this shot. I also love the way you can catch a glimpse of her little bracelet pushed up her arm.
Taking test shots of older siblings at the start of a session is a great way keep things fun. I like them to feel that the session isn’t only about the new baby but very much about them. They are often so excited we have to work hard to maintain a calm atmosphere for the baby. Having parents on hand to help is always super helpful whilst I take the shots.
It’s such a compliment when my Clients ask me to capture their family portraits year after year. I love returning and seeing how their children have grown. Each year you can see such big changes and it’s wonderful to get to know them & their personalities. I always try to capture this in my pictures.
