Some of my favourite pictures from a Baby photography Islington session.

A few years ago I took part in a fantastic fund raising event for International Womens day.  The event was to raise money for oxfam’s projects around the world. It was so inspiring to hear of the strength & support that these projects have given to so many women trying to rebuild their lives and support their families.

I was delighted to donate a portrait session for auction at the evening event hosted by Lauren Laverne.

This is where I was lucky enough to first meet this family who won their pregnancy & newborn photography session with me. Fast forward three years and I am thrilled to have returned to welcome their new baby boy into the world.

One of the best parts of my work as a newborn, baby & family photographer is returning to document children as they grow. The last time I saw this gorgeous three year old he was only 10 days old. I absolutely loved his mouse slippers which just had to be in the shot with his Daddy. I’ve included both the Daddy portraits from this session and the little toes.

I love taking parent portraits and these ones were just so perfect. For me there is also nothing better than framing little feet in their parents hands. It shows just how tiny and perfect they are. At the moment my daughters feet are still smaller than my hands (she has just turned 6). We love to measure them and she is so eager for them to be bigger. I keep on saying don’t rush darling, I like being able to hold your little feet in my hands.

This afternoon I will be heading back to Islington for another baby photography session. This time a 6 month old baby. I’ve prepared some beautiful soft throws for this session and a few very cute rompers. I love my 6 month sessions, ther perfect time to capture lots of gorgeous baby smiles.
