Mother-to-be and brand new baby portraits taken at a Pregnancy & Newborn Photography Kensington session.

I love this pregnancy portrait of Mum. A beautiful smile captured just at the right moment. It was a pleasure to celebrate her pregnancy with these personal portraits. Taken at around 36 weeks the family home in Kensington.  I think she looks stunning. I’ve included one here in my portfolio.

I chose a sleepy newborn picture of her gorgeous baby boy. I think these two portraits sit beautifully together. A perfect bump to baby story. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. 

This week I visited the family again for his 5 month baby photography session. It was wonderful to see how he has grown.

I’m always delighted to document the first year. With portraits all taken in the same black & white style. To really show the changes and developments. The baby stage is almost as fleeting as the newborn stage. Not long from now he will be toddling. As a parent I know how important it is to cherish every moment. Through all the tiredness and challenges that come with parenting. It is truly magical.

When I visit Kensington for my pregnancy, newborn and baby photography sessions I’m always struck by the beauty of the buildings. Especially at Christmas time. The beautiful white Georgian town houses and streets all lit up. The grand entrance to Harrods that is breathtaking on approach. I personally prefer gazing at the beautiful window displays to shopping. I like to get lost in the magic.

There is always plenty to do in London in the winter. It’s a great city for families. There are endless events and days out to be had.
