A few of my favourites from a gorgeous pregnancy photoshoot with this beautiful mother to be.
I remember so well how this stage of pregnancy felt. After weeks and weeks of watching each changing stage of your little one, reading, learning, preparing the moment is finally almost here. It’s incredible, daunting, exciting and without a doubt the biggest emotional roller coaster of your life. Pregnancy for me was also one of the most empowering times of my life. I felt proud of my changing body and the life growing inside it. It is wonderful to be able to capture capture that moment in time for my Clients.
I would recommend between 34-36 weeks as the ideal time for your pregnancy photography session. I work exclusively in your home with my portable studio. I have Client’s based all over London, Kent & Surrey. I would be very happy to discuss your requirements, simply contact me via my bookings page.

I love including older sibling shots during my family photography sessions. This was taken during a newborn photography session. As we waited for his new baby sister to feed I gave this beaming new big brother his own personal photoshoot. He absolutely loved it! It’s a great way to make them feel the centre of attention when there is so much focus on the new arrival. I like to prepare them for their sibling portraits by spending some time having fun with them. Capturing beautiful & natural portraits.
Photographing older children is such a joy. I love capturing their expressions and chatting to them about what they like and don’t like. I have a 7 year old and a nearly 3 year old and it’s great to see what other children are into.
I’m often wondering where the time has gone, my little ones are growing up so fast. I want to capture every expression and change in them. Childhood is so fleeting and so very precious.
The smile in this picture says it all and his gorgeous sparkling eyes! Definitely one to treasure and a beautiful memory of how proud he was to become a big brother!

I’m sharing just the one picture today from a gorgeous newborn photography session in London. This little one was just so curious and didn’t want to miss a moment of her first photoshoot. Looking absolutely adorable in this portrait, it is lovely to capture wide awake shots at this stage. Her little folded arms and bright eyes make this picture come to life.
I love that this will become a treasured memory of her at this stage. I’ve really enjoyed returning to so many of my Clients homes this month to meet their new arrivals or photograph their little ones next stage. It’s such a joy to see so many of my pictures lovingly displayed on their walls. All looking absolutely beautiful even years on from our first session.
This one certainly needs to be in a frame!

I’m delighted to share a few portraits from a recent newborn photography session in South London.
I’m really pleased with this beautiful family shot. It was such a sweet moment during the photoshoot. I love how baby looks so tiny snuggled against Dad’s chest.
During a newborn photography session I always work through a series of poses. These always include family portraits, newborn baby in different poses using props and backdrops. Mother & baby, father & baby and if there are older sibling these will also be worked into the session. Once these are captured I work on the detail shots such as feet, hands, ears, eyelashes and little mouths.
I like to incorporate key items such a first teddy bears and it’s wonderful to be at my Client’s homes where such things are close to hand.
Welcoming a brand new person into the world and to be one of the first to take their picture is a true honour. I hope these pictures really will stand the test of time and be loved for generations to come.

Oh the gorgeous squishy baby stage. How I miss my little ones being like this! I adore every change in them of course but this beautiful chubby cheeked stage seems so fleeting. Those beautiful belly laughs and their first attempts at crawling. Often and frustratingly for them zooming backwards away from whatever they were attempting to head to.
I love my baby photography sessions. Capturing this beautiful and precious stage during the first year. After a newborn photography session I recommend the next stage to capture should be between 4-6 months. To show the incredible changes in your little one.
At this stage your little one is showing glimpses of their personality and it’s wonderful to capture that.
If you have missed the newborn stage though and are keen to capture your little one before they grow any more I do lovely sessions for baby’s between 4 – 12 weeks. I understand the importance of documenting each stage and not wanting to miss a moment of that beautiful first year.
