Family Portrait Photography in Blackheath

When I was Two, I was nearly new …

I love photographing children, capturing their expressions, making them laugh and having a good play! I took this portrait of big sister Elizabeth during a newborn portrait session for her baby brother at their home in Blackheath.

Elizabeth is two and a half and I loved the white vest and frilly ballet skirt her Mum had chosen for her, she was so sweet and gentle with her new brother during the photoshoot and I’ve got some beautiful portraits of them together. It can be unsettling when a new little person arrives in a family and the portrait sessions are a great way to help older siblings feel included and get excited about their new arrival. I like to spend time with them and give them their own mini photo session inbetween capturing the newborn poses to make sure they feel the session is as much about them as it is their new baby brother or sister.
