Newborn Baby Photography, Islington

Friday has arrived quicker than ever this week, I’ve been very busy meeting lots of gorgeous new babies and I have a weekend full of lovely newborn and baby portrait sessions so I thought I’d sneak a quick picture from one of my recent sessions before the weekend begins!

This lovely portrait of newborn baby Daniel was taken at his home in Islington, I love the knitted button hat and matching shorts in this picture, all of my props are beautifully handmade for my sessions by the very talented Joanne Harrison. She is wonderful and carefully designs each item to suit my style of black & white photography.

I’m really looking forward to my family portrait session in Brockley tomorrow as I’ll be photographing a little boy called Kit who I first photographed when he was just 8 months old, he is the same age as my daughter (now two & a half years old) and I met his lovely mummy at our pregnancy yoga classes (with Lisa at the Sunflower centre in Brockley – highly recommended!) – we’ve been on the journey together! Tomorrow I’ll be meeting their latest addition to the family – a little girl! I can’t wait to add to their family portraits and capture some lovely pictures of big brother with his new little sister.

On Sunday I’ll be in Kensington for my next newborn session with a 3 week old baby boy and I can’t wait to see the new parents as the last time we met was for their maternity portrait session a month ago. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is seeing the before and after, being a small part of a big event in peoples life and then returning as their little ones grow to document and create a visual record for their family.

Have a lovely weekend everyone,

Elle x
