Newborn photography session in your own home.
Photographing a new baby is one of the most magical experiences I could have as a photographer.
With over 13 years of experience photographing newborns, you can rest assured that your baby will be handled with care and expertise.
I am used to working with families and ensuring that their newborn photoshoot fits with their new routine. Before our session, I will discuss your needs with you and we will arrange a time and day that works best for your family.
The portable Newborn Photography studio
By bringing my newborn photography studio into your home I can create a peaceful and cosy environment for your session. Ensuring that you can continue to rest and recover after the birth of your baby.
I only book one newborn photoshoot per day to ensure I can give the correct amount of time to each family I photograph.
My studio is very adaptable and will fit into almost any home. I’m very experienced and set everything up with ease, with no disruption to your day.
I use a studio backdrop for family and parent portraits and your baby is placed on a large specially designed bean bag which allows me to safely position the baby with care.
When should I schedule my newborn session?
You can contact me any time after your 20-week scan to make your newborn photography inquiry. I will be happy to help plan your session for you.
Early booking before your baby arrives is recommended to ensure that I can fit you in. Once you have booked your photoshoot a note of your due date will be taken and a time period reserved for your newborn session in my calendar.
Newborn photography sessions take place during the first few weeks following the birth of your baby. Please rest assured that this timeframe is just a guide and can be adjusted to suit you and your family. I am very used to working with all babies and family situations.
I will provide advice and pre-photoshoot guidance to ensure everything runs smoothly and to help you prepare.
What should my baby wear?
I bring a selection of delicate handmade newborn outfits to each session. I also carry some matching outfits for twins and beautiful soft blankets and teddy bears.
I like my props to look simple and elegant so the images will look contemporary for years to come.
During your photoshoot, you are also welcome to introduce any items that you wish to include such as baby outfits or keepsakes. I will be happy to provide advice on what will work best for your photographs.
