Pregnancy Photography, Chelsea & Kensington. When I take portraits I often ask my Clients to look off camera or towards their bump. This gives a gentle look and softness to the shot. But I also like to take a series of portraits where they look directly into the lens. I love this shot from my Clients pregnancy session at her home in Chelsea. It is such a beautiful and strong pose and I think she looks stunning.
Wearing one of my lace bandeau tops which looks great on her. These tops are super comfortable and flattering. Perfect for my Pregnancy sessions. The subtle lighting and strong black backdrop define her bump beautifully. Showing just how incredible pregnancy is as 32 weeks.
As soon as baby arrives it can feel like a lifetime as passed sine you were pregnant. It can be hard to remember how you felt at this stage. It’s wonderful to capture that for my Clients. I had pregnancy portraits taken for both of my pregnancies. With my first pregnancy it was very exciting to capture my changing shape before my first born arrived. With my second I enjoyed having my daughter with me during the session and she loved taking part. Hugging my belly and feeling very excited about her new baby brother. I set the studio up at home as I would for one of my professional pregnancy sessions. My husband and I coordinated the shoot together and it was lots of fun. A wonderful memory of a special time in my life.
There are lots of ways to feel comfortable during pregnancy and I found yoga and hyno-birthing very useful. Yoga really helped me to relax and stay flexible during both of my pregnancies. The techniques I learnt were also useful during labour. Plus the friends I made at my sessions. My yoga mummy friends I met with my first pregnancy are still very close to me now. We have journeyed through this incredible time together with our first and second babies.
