Twin Pregnancy

Hi All,

A lovely blog about pregnancy from the very talented Ursula Rose which I thought I would share. There is no doubt that your first pregnancy is very special and there are many things I miss about being pregnant, some of which are listed in this beautifully written post from Ursula.

With my second pregnancy, everything seemed to pass so much quicker, I didn’t have the afternoons to spend resting and reading on my bed, contemplating my birth plan and practising my hypno-birthing and pregnancy yoga techniques. I worked up until 38 weeks and when I wasn’t working I was occupied with my four year old which left little or no time to myself.

I felt completely different during my second pregnancy, I was much more focussed on how our new baby would fit into the family and preparing my daughter for the change in her world rather than my how I was feeling and how the birth would be. So I was very grateful that I had that special time during my first pregnancy.

All of those wonderful relaxation and breathing techniques I learnt the first time stayed with me and took me through my second pregnancy without me even realising I was using them. Equally our second baby slotted into the family with ease and all of the worries as a first time Mum were replaced with the confidence of knowing what to do and enjoying all of those precious newborn cuddles even more.

Here is the lovely, thought provoking blog from Ursula to take you back to some of those fleeting & wonderful stages of your first pregnancy.
