Photographing babies at all stages throughout the first year is always a joy. Each milestone providing a new record of a very precious journey.
As a parent the first year is full of key moments, from the first smile, to the first giggle, word, movement, crawling and of course those all important first steps! Each photoshoot I do at your home is tailored to meet the needs of your baby at that stage.
Before our baby photoshoot I will arrange a time of day with your that works with your babies current nap schedule. We will discuss ideas and I will provide pre-photoshoot tips and advice to ensure the session runs smoothly.
The comfort and enjoyment of your photography session is always at the forefront of what I do. As is ensuring you will receive a beautiful collection of photographs to treasure.
Bespoke Baby Photography frames
I offer a bespoke framing service which is the perfect way to display and enjoy your chosen portraits. With a choice of finishes, sizes and layouts to suit all tastes and interiors. Each frame is handmade to order and I have worked with my framers who handcraft each frame for over 13 years. The quality is incredible as is their attention to detail to ensure each frame is produced to the families specifications. Framing is always a popular option for the families I photograph.
For this wonderful baby and family photoshoot in Dulwich the family chose a large 24″ x 24″ storyboard frame to display a collection of 9 of their favourite images. I love how these popular frames show a complete collection of work in a contemporary contact sheet style frame.
Details of my frames can be found in my full price list which I will email to you when you make your booking enquiry for your baby photography session.

Including Parents & Grandparents in Baby Photography sessions
I always include family and parent portraits during my sessions so there are plenty of images to choose from. On this occasion I was lucky enough to have Grandma & Grandad come along for some very special three generational portraits.
What fantastic fun that was! I loved seeing how much this little one loved his grandparents and it certainly shines through in their Grandparent and baby portraits.
This is just one of many of my favourites from our session! I wish I could share them all!
Kind Words
I’m always grateful to receive kind words in the form of a review after my photoshoots and I know it helps to see how the session was enjoyed. Click here to see more google reviews
A dream maternity photography session in Balham South West London. After being recommended by a friend who I also photographed it was wonderful to meet and photograph this beautiful mother-to-be.
Maternity Photography in your home
It has always been important to me to travel to the homes of my Clients and to make sure that their maternity photoshoot is relaxed and enjoyable with minimum effort. I really do love to bring the whole studio to the home with the knowledge that I have made life just a little bit easier for the new parents to be!
I think maternity photography should be elegant and artistic. It’s wonderful to be able to do this in the comfort of your own home. Using my beautiful presses silks and bandeau tops which I bring to each maternity photoshoot. Along with my backdrops, lighting and wind machine to create beautiful portraits – all in your own lounge!
Feeling confident during your maternity photoshoot
What I also love is how intimate and personal these maternity photoshoots feel. It is not uncommon for my Clients to feel apprehensive about doing something like this and often I am told that they don’t naturally feel comfortable in front of the camera. With this in mind I like to work to put you at ease straight away and to give you the confidence to enjoy your photoshoot. I want you to feel happy in front of the camera and most of all to have fun.
I can honestly say that by the end of each photoshoot we are chatting like old friends. This is partly due to my love of meeting new people, sharing in their journey and discussing all things motherhood and maternity!
The importance of maternity photography
I simply don’t ever take for granted how this time feels to each new mother to be I photograph and with each photoshoot the memories of how I felt come flooding back. It’s one of the biggest steps in your life, I remember it so well and I always feel connected to my Clients in this way.
I also feel it’s important to have a record to this time. To show your child how you carried them with grace and beauty and how you loved bringing them into the world.
A maternity photoshoot is also wonderful if you haven’t been having a good pregnancy or have been feeling not so good. I often find that with my Client’s who have felt this way the photographs can make them feel so joyful and completely change their perspective on their body, how they look and to give them something to feel truly proud of in that moment.
Using silks
Now I am a fan of using silks for my maternity photographs. For this portrait we had a little help from Dad as well as my wind machine. I asked him to stand just to the left off camera and on my instruction throw the silk into the air. In this portrait she is actually looking back and up at her husband. They were smiling at each other and it’s that connection that makes this portrait so beautiful. You can just see how happy she is and I love that and that they will know that this was a moment between the two of them.

There are so many beautiful pictures I like to create at my newborn photography sessions. This is one of my favourites and of course most popular poses to create with your newborn baby. The beauty of this shot is that mostly I just guide the baby into position and help him or her to fall comfortably and naturally into the pose. I follow the gentle movement of your newborn to create each photograph I take which is why each photograph is unique just like your baby. This is what I love most about my newborn photography sessions. It’s the wonderful journey of discovery and the creation of truly personal family and baby portraits that will be treasured.
London Newborn Photographer
I have been a London newborn photographer for 13 years. Specialising in maternity, newborn, baby and family photography. Over these years I have gained so much knowledge and experience with newborn babies. My studio which I bring to your home for comfort and ease has been carefully created to ensure the safe positioning of your newborn baby.
Newborn photoshoots require expertise and knowledge as well as patience and understanding. It is so important that the family is cared for in the correct way. For me I think it is essential to remind yourself how everyone is feeling. This is the most incredible time for a family and it is a privilege to be in their home photographing their new arrival for them.
When I first started my newborn photography business my baby girl was only 2 months old. My business has journeyed with me as a parent. Fast forward almost 13 years and that baby girl is approaching 13 and my son has just turned 8. Time really does fly when you are a parent. But it is the most wonderful time. I don’t want to forget any moment of it. The photographs I have of them will be my lifetime treasure.
What other photography sessions do you do?
As well as newborn photography I am pleased to offer maternity photoshoots, baby photography, children’s portraits and family photography.
What areas do you cover?
I am happy to travel throughout London including: South London, South East London, South West London, West London, North London, East London as well as Kent and Surrey.
My portable studio allows me to come to you and to take any stress away from your photoshoot.
As a Fulham Newborn photographer I am often travelling between homes in the area and across Chelsea, Kensington, Knightsbridge, Westminster, Camden, Greenwich and many other boroughs of London.
This beautiful little newborn baby was photographed at home by me just a few weeks after he was born. I arrived at the family home in London with my portable newborn photography studio. Carrying a suitcase full of beautiful handmade newborn baby outfits. Ready to make sure their baby photoshoot at home was a beautiful, calm and relaxed experience for them all. As soon as I enter the home my intention is to always put everyone at ease. New parents are often a little nervous as to how the session will go and then I am happy to say often pleasantly surprised by how effortless everything was on the day.
How long will my newborn photoshoot take?
I don’t like to work to specific timeframes as each photoshoot is unique. I like to reassure my Client’s that with newborn photography I will only book that one photoshoot for the day. This allows plenty of time for feeding and settling baby.
The photoshoot itself typically takes three hours and sometimes a little longer if there are also siblings to include. I will always work around the family to ensure the session runs smoothly. With 13 years experience photographing newborn babies in London I have plenty of experience to adapt to each situation and families needs.
What is the best age for newborn photography?
Anytime between 1-4 weeks in my opinion is perfect for newborn photography. I do like to photograph newborns as early as possible to achieve the beautiful sleeping poses, however this is not always possible. For me it is most important that everyone is ready and feels comfortable. With this in mind I will keep in. touch with you to find the best time for your newborn photoshoot after the birth of your baby.
When should I book?
I take bookings as early as after the 20 week scan and as late as on the day your baby arrives! I do recommend pre-booking if possible as this will ensure I can fit you in. However last minute spaces are sometimes available.
Included with your session fee is your private newborn photography session at home, use of my beautiful handmade baby outfits and one complimentary fine art archival print mounted to fit a 10″x12″ frame.
Additional images such as the retouched digital images, albums, frames, cards and folios are priced separately. Please contact me for the full pricing brochure.
Can Grandparents and Siblings be included?
The answer to this is always yes! I love to included additional members of the family. It is sucha. special occasion to celebrate it should be shared with them family. I will discuss your needs and wishes before our photoshoot to ensure i can accommodate what you would like.
I’m looking forward to meeting you soon and please do get in touch with any further questions
To celebrate Mother’s Day in the UK tomorrow I have been busy preparing beautiful prints, albums and cards from some of my beautiful mothers day photoshoots.
When I say mothers day photoshoot it doesn’t mean that these photography sessions happens on mothers day. What I mean is that if you have had a maternity, newborn, baby or family photography session with me then Mother’s day is the perfect opportunity to turn your retouched digital images into framed prints or albums into a Mother’s day gift.
I often suggest this to the families I photograph. When you purchase the retouched digital images from your photoshoot with me. I think it is lovely to come back some time after and turn them into beautiful framed prints, albums, desk top frames or cards for your loved ones. And what a beautiful surprise!
As well as these wonderful print options I have Mother’s day gift cards to book your next family photoshoot with me.
Photography Gift Vouchers for Mother’s Day and any celebration!
I have gift vouchers available to purchase via my website here
These are ideal for baby shower gifts, maternity leave gifts, family photography gift, newborn baby gift and of course baby’s birthday gift.

Mother and Baby Photography
The mother and baby portrait I have featured on my blog today makes me smile so much. It’s the way her baby has scrunched her eyes and the little smile! A tender moment between the two of them captured forever.
I love classic black & white baby photography. This portrait works so well in this style. Allowing you to enjoy the closeness between them and all the detail of the moment.
I know how special these pictures are and I take pride in producing them. At each photoshoot I am always looking for that moment. It’s wonderful to capture something so special.
