A little mini session which took place during a Children & Baby photography session in St. Katherine Dock, Tower Hamlets.

I arrived at her home to meet her newborn baby brother. To capture family & newborn portraits. I was greeted by this little darling in the most beautiful dress. She was so enchanting, just like Alice in Wonderland. I loved photographing her and she was more than happy to have her own personal photoshoot. It was the perfect opportunity to have some fun whilst we waited for her baby brother to feed.

There was lots of singing, dancing and clapping involved to get these gorgeous shots. I asked her to spin around and captured these beautiful moments as she turned. She must have felt fantastic in her party dress. All those gorgeous layers of organza.

The family home was in one of the most picturesque parts of London. Nestled perfectly in the heart of St. Katherine Dock. On a fresh crisp day with bright blue skies and golden leaves. It’s always a treat for me to visit this part of Tower Hamlets. I grew up near the sea on the Isle of Wight and feel at home amongst the boats in the harbour. There is also the fantastic comedy club at The Dickens Inn. If you have the chance to visit it makes for a great night out. During the Summer months there is also live music every Friday and street food. What more could you want?!

Including older siblings in a newborn session comes naturally to me. I have two children and I remember the adjustment for my eldest when her brother arrived. I always give them lots of special attention. making sure that they feel the photo shoot is just for them. A celebration of becoming a big sister or brother, an important and grown up role!
