I’ve been having a few colour newborn photography requests recently and I’m really enjoying the results. As we come to the end of the year I’m going to try to find time to share just one from each of my photoshoot’s over the coming weeks. I have been so lucky to photograph hundreds of babies and their families this year. Not to mention all of the wonderful pregnancy photoshoots. This little darling was photographed at his home in Hammersmith West London. I am able to do newborn photography in London and surrounding areas, please get in touch to see if I cover your area. I am happy to travel to you because one of the most important aspects of my photoshoots is to ensure my clients are relaxed and at home. This helps to achieve the beautiful calm results you see here.
Newborn photography takes place during the first 2-3 weeks following birth. Booking in advance is essential to ensure I can fit you in within this time. However, there are occasionally last-minute spaces so it is always worth getting in touch. I am happy to answer questions and chat about my photoshoots over the phone or you can simply fill in a few details on my booking form to receive my full price list and session details. Choose from single, double or even triple photoshoot packages. A photoshoot is a very thoughtful gift to give any family this Christmas. Each voucher can be personalised with a message from you and will come in a gift box with a set of miniature Green & Blacks chocolates to enjoy on Christmas morning!

Newborn Photography Session Battersea London
I know it is getting close to Christmas and feeling very wintery out there today in London! Which is why in have chosen this gorgeous shot of a newborn baby boy. Taken at one of my recent newborn photoshoots in Battersea.
I love this floppy tassel hat and just look at that pout! I was actually very lucky to return and see this little one again recently for a Christmas card photo shoot. He had grown so much! I will definitely share some of the pictures from our Christmas session soon but in line with tradition, I will wait until the 1st December before officially launching any Christmas pictures!
As a London based photographer, my Client’s come from all corners of the world. It is one of the things I love most about this city and my work. At each photo-shoot, I meet a family with a story of how they came to London. It is so refreshing and fascinating to hear about their journeys. I love sharing in a snippet of their lives and capturing something truly special. Of course, nothing is more special or precious than the arrival of your baby.

Family and Baby Photographer
Capturing family moments during my newborn photoshoots is one of the highlights of the session for me. Especially when Grandparents are around. I find frequently with my sessions in London that the grandparents have flown in especially to be on hand to help their daughter and son. It is so touching that families help each other in this way and the bond between mother and daughter remains ever strong. I have come to realise that becoming a Grandparent must be one of the most joyful times in your life. As my children grow I can imagine just how much I am going to miss their childhood days when they eventually become adults and leave the nest. I can imagine the thrill of living through those happy days again with grandchildren. But this time of course without the added stress of being a parent but all the joys of being a grandparent!
It is so true what they say! Grandparents can spoil their grandchildren, do all the fun bits and then give them back! And why not! I absolutely will!
This shot for me is the sweetest, the happiness on their faces and the little babies’ hands gently clasped together with the most peaceful expression. I loved getting to know them all during their photoshoot and hearing about their journey. From America to London and also how she met her wonderful husband.

Mother & Baby portraits
Photographing a mother and her new baby is one of the greatest joys of newborn photography. My newborn photography sessions take place in my Client’s home during the first 1-3 weeks following birth. When everything is very, very new for both the parents and their newborn baby. With this in mind, it is always my aim to put everyone at ease as soon as I walk through the door. To ensure the photoshoot is relaxed and calm for the new family. Travelling to their home so that they don’t have to leave the front door and can continue to rest and ‘nest’ with their new baby is definitely a major factor in this.
I am able to create a studio in homes of all shapes and sizes. The first thing I do when I arrive is to find the best space in the home for my studio. Ensuring it will be intimate for the parent portraits, well lit and warm for the new baby. I bring numerous handmade newborn outfits with me and I often show them to the parents before we start so that they can choose their favourite pieces. All my outfits are super soft – perfect for baby’s delicate skin.
I remember the early weeks following the birth of my daughter. I actually didn’t leave the house for the first three weeks and when I did I was so very nervous! Pushing my new precious little girl in the pram, worrying that she might start crying or I would need to feed her in public! I remember it as if it was yesterday. Like all parents, I needed time to recover from birth and time to get used to being a Mum. These thoughts are at the forefront of my mind at every photoshoot.

This picture was taken at a recent newborn photography session at home with a family in South East London. A first time Mum cuddling her beautiful baby. There is so much tenderness in this shot and love. It makes me happy every time I look at it.
