Childhood Portrait Photographer London: With every newborn or family photoshoot there is always an opportunity to capture some beautiful childhood portraits. I love connecting with young children and making sure that they are completely at ease with me when I arrive. It helps that I am come to their home. A safe space where they can enjoy watching me turn their lounge into a photography studio. Asking as many questions as they like and of course showing me their favourite toys!
This portrait was taken at the start of a newborn photoshoot for her baby brother. Whilst he was being fed by Mum we had plenty of time to spend capturing some very special portraits. This is one of my favourites – but there were many! I love the old fashioned feel of this portrait. Her ringlets and the beautiful lace dress and flower. Also her sweet far away gaze. This definitely takes me back to Hollywood portraits of a time gone by. The very portraits that drew me into photography in the first place!
Black & White Children’s Photography
With this photograph I wanted to highlight the beauty of classic children’s photography. A true black & white portrait that will stand the test of time. Bringing back memories of how she was at this age. It will look absolutely beautiful framed and displayed with loving care in the home of her parents and no doubt her Grandparents – possibly even her own children one day! i love to think of the life my photographs will have.
Booking a Family Photography session in London
Individual childhood photography sessions are a wonderful way to document the changes in your children. It’s lovely to combine these with some family portraits as well. With each photo-shoot I am always happy to accommodate family members, grandparents included!

Maternity photography in Pimlico London
It’s always an honour for me to be asked to photograph maternity & newborn portraits for a family. To be part of the journey from bump to baby is just a beautiful time to share.
With my work I get to meet and work with so many families across London, Kent & Surrey. No photoshoot is ever the same and I love learning their stories, sharing time with them and of course capturing beautiful memories that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
What strikes me most in each maternity photoshoot that I do are the different moments I capture. There is an ease that always comes mid session. When we have been chatting for a while and sharing our stories. (I am known to chat a lot about pregnancy and things that I found helpful when I was expecting). It’s in that moment that I often capture a beautiful effortless portrait that just has a flow and energy to it.
This portrait has that for me! There is joy and celebration to it which I love! It happened quickly. I said ‘whoosh it out a bit at the side!” and that was it! This was taken at my Client’s home in Pimlico London and I was very excited to return a few weeks later to meet their newborn baby.
My Client’s are often surprised to hear that these pictures were captured at home. I bring my portable studio complete with backdrop, lighting, reflectors, wind machine and silks all to you! There is no need to leave your front door. That’s very important to me with all of my photoshoots. As a mother of two I want this experience to be joyful and memorable.

Is Maternity Photography right for me?
There are key moments in our lives that we would want to have a record of and to look back on in years to come. Photography for you and your family is a beautiful investment to make and one you will enjoy for the rest of your lives.
I view maternity portraits as a celebration of becoming a mother. A present to yourself and a record for your children of how you embraced carrying them for 9 months. How much you treasured them before they were born.
I like to capture natural and elegant moments. These can be tasteful maternity portraits that shoe the belly or more covered shots, whatever you prefer I will work with you to achieve the portraits you would like.
When to Book?
I am always happy to try to squeeze in last minute bookings if I have space although if possible early booking is recommended. Bookings are now open for maternity photoshoots from August onwards, for availability click here to contact me
I would love to hear from you and to share in your journey.

Newborn Photographer Chelsea & Kensington London
As a newborn photographer I am so lucky to be able to spend my weeks photographing incredible babies in and around London.
I work in all areas of London and regularly travel to Chelsea & Kensington for baby, newborn, family and children photoshoots on a weekly basis. With lots of families that I return to year after year to add to their growing gallery of family portraits. Working in colour and black & white photography allows me to produce a variety of beautiful images for families to choose from.
My portable studio, lighting and suitcase of delicate baby outfits enables me to work freely and produce natural portraits. I love to create images that celebrate the sweet little details and feature of your newborn.
When I first began as a newborn photographer I was myself a new Mum. I can remember every moment of those first weeks clearly. As a new Mum I remember feeling completely overwhelmed. It was in a way wonderful exhaustion. Like all new Mums I needed time to recover and adjust to being a parent. To be looked after and to look after our new baby in the comfort of our own home.
This was one of the key factors in deciding that I wanted to bring my photography into the homes of the families I photograph. There is enough to do and to learn as a new parent. If I can make one thing easier for you and help to create an experience that you will remember as joyful then that is what I want to do!
Over the past 12 years I have gained so much knowledge & experience as a newborn, baby & family photographer. (As I write 12 years – I can’t actually believe I have been doing it that long!). Every photoshoot I do feels as new and fresh as the last. With each family I meet bringing a unique perspective to the work I do. I can’t imagine ever doing anything else.
Booking your newborn photoshoot
If possible I recommend booking before your baby is born. This is a great way to ensure that I will be able to fit you into my diary during those first few weeks. When you book I will make a note of your due date and reserve a time period around that date. Then I will wait for you to contact me after the birth to arrange a convenient date for your photoshoot.
There is never any pressure to reserve the “correct date” for your newborn photoshoot. I want to ensure that the entire experience is relaxing and enjoyable from start to finish. I have photographed new babies as late as 6 weeks before and the results are just as beautiful as at 2 or 3 weeks old. It has to be what you are comfortable with and when you feel ready as a family.
Can I make late bookings?
Late bookings are also possible! I often have calls from parents when their babies have arrived or even when they are already two or three weeks old. I will always try to fit you into my diary as soon as there is space available. Please don’t worry or think it is too late to book. Whenever you choose to have professional baby photography it will be worth it to capture them as they are at that moment in time.
For more details and my full pricing list please contact me via my booking page: Make a Booking
Email is the best way to contact me as I find it hard to answer calls in the day. I am often busy at a photoshoot, dashing back to collect my children from school or cooking them dinner! I am always happy to chat by email initially and then arrange a convenient time to have a chat over the phone.

Baby Photoshoot in Islington N1

I recently had a wonderful baby photography session in Islington with this beautiful 7 and a half month old baby boy. It is an absolute joy to photograph babies at all stages during the first year with each milestone bringing a new development and chapter to their personality. When I am contacted to ask “what is the right time to photograph my baby?” my answer is always any time!
This family were sad that they missed out on the newborn photoshoot due to other commitments and adjusting to becoming a new family. I reassured them that we would be able to capture equally beautiful moments of their baby at this age. Pictures that celebrate him as a 7 and a half month baby. Full of character and fun!
Baby Photography in Islington with a 7 month old baby
At this age I always arrange a time of day that works with the babies natural pattern of naps and feeds. Arranging to arrive at a time of day that works for the family. If everything has gone out the window that day in terms of nap times etc (as it often does!) there is no stress as I only book one photoshoot per day and I am always happy to wait whilst baby is fed and even has an extra nap. In fact this often provides the perfect opportunity for some beautiful nap-time photographs!
The photograph I’ve chosen for my blog today just sums up this photoshoot so well! I absolutely love his cheeky expression. It was such a thrill to photograph him and to capture this special shot.
What I love about photographing this age is the different shots that can be achieved. As well as family portraits, mother & baby photography and father & baby photography. I am able to photograph the baby sitting down. These are often referred to by baby photographers as sitting sessions. I like to experiment with different positions, finding what makes the baby happiest.
Baby photoshoots are lots of fun. Of course most of the time we are all being very silly just trying to coax those smiles out and make the little one laugh!
Being in their own home environment helps the baby to feel calm, safe and relaxed. I love to bring my photography studio into the home of the families I photograph. Making life as easy as possible.
Baby photography memories captured for your home
Photographs like these deserved to be beautifully framed and hung on the wall. To make you smile every time you walk past. The family have chosen some wonderful pictures including this one and many more. A mixture of black and white baby photography and colour baby photography was included with this session. I can’t wait to see the finished prints hanging on the wall in their home.
I’ve recently received this lovely feedback from the family following our photoshoot. You can read it here with other google reviews
I can’t wait to update my website with lots of my 2022 baby photoshoots when I have some more time but for now for the most up to date gallery please do check out my instagram page
For baby photography details please do get in touch, I would love to hear from you and meet your family soon x

Maternity Photographer Bexleyheath London
I have many favourite images from this maternity photography session in Bexleyheath. This gorgeous little family pet, I have to say almost stole the show! I am often asked to include family pets in my maternity, newborn, baby and family photoshoots. After all they are an important member of the family! This gorgeous dog waited patiently all session until his big moment! He was delighted when it was his time to shine!
I absolutely love this shot. A sweet moment captured before the new arrival enters the home! Over the years I’ve included many pets in photoshoots, mostly dog portraits but occasionally cats if they agree to join! It’s always lots of fun and adds another element to the photoshoot. I love animals so I’m always happy to include them and spend time with them during the session. I have to say this little fella was very well behaved through both our maternity & newborn photoshoots. The perfect model!
As well as classic maternity portraits using my silks and more natural portraits that show the beauty of the belly I like to include a few clothed pictures as well. This fitted black dress looks great with my white backdrop. I shoot against a white and a black backdrop during these sessions. There are always plenty of images to choose from and it’s often hard to edit the images down as there are so many! I love classic black & white photography. It gives the images an edge and work particularly well with this portrait.

A trick of light
With a clever change of lighting beautiful affects can be created during your maternity photoshoot. I bring everything that is needed to your home to create professional studio results like these. I love working with light and creating a different feel to the images.
Working from the homes of the families I photograph also means we have access to their own personal wardrobes as well as the items I bring. Allowing us to create individual styles that suit their personality and reflect much more of who they are. Each photoshoot is unique and I’m always thrilled to see how the pictures turn out after my sessions.
I like to take my time to get to know my subjects which is why I only book one photoshoot per day. So that I will never be rushing off to get to the next person. It’s a very personal and individual experience.
