I love including older sibling shots during my family photography sessions. This was taken during a newborn photography session. As we waited for his new baby sister to feed I gave this beaming new big brother his own personal photoshoot. He absolutely loved it! It’s a great way to make them feel the centre of attention when there is so much focus on the new arrival. I like to prepare them for their sibling portraits by spending some time having fun with them. Capturing beautiful & natural portraits.

Photographing older children is such a joy. I love capturing their expressions and chatting to them about what they like and don’t like. I have a 7 year old and a nearly 3 year old and it’s great to see what other children are into.

I’m often wondering where the time has gone, my little ones are growing up so fast. I want to capture every expression and change in them. Childhood is so fleeting and so very precious.

The smile in this picture says it all and his gorgeous sparkling eyes! Definitely one to treasure and a beautiful memory of how proud he was to become a big brother!
